Smith Ministries of Kenya
Our work is always changing. We are now struggling to find a water
supply. The projects we have done in the past year to bring water
from the river to the orphanage had been a great success and allowed
us to grow corn, beans and other vegetables.
Today how ever, the rivers in Kenya have gone dry and we are
seeking help to dig a well on the property to supply water for the
people and farming needs of the orphanage and community.
We are seeking help from donors and well wishers to raise the
$25,000 needed to cover the costs of the well, windmill and water
tank. The well would benefit approximately 200 people in the
orphanage and community.
Please consider making a donation.

God's Children
2011 The well project
Irrigation and Green House 2010
We have built a drip irrigation system and some green houses so that we will be
using very little water to grow the plants.
New Kitchen 2009
This is a new outside kitchen that the
British military helped to build in May of 2009.
Young Mother & Daughter 2008
This is one of the young girls who was raped, got pregnant and infected with HIV/AIDS. We are trying to save the baby girl.
Update: She is doing real good with the help of some friends that buy medicines and vitamins every
month, she is also in special diet, to eat more proteins and much fluids,
the baby is still alive and doing well, she is also taking medications, she has to see the doctor at least twice a
month, they need lots of attention.
10 acres of Crops 2008
This is the good times we got water from the river, we have two water
pumps, one pumps water from the river to the dam, the other one pumps water form the dam to the
plants.
Water irrigation and storage project of 2008
This is the dam that we store water from the river, we laid the plastic sheet on the bottom of the dam so that the water will not go
through.
